More about your host, Qyu aka The Sipping Bird: Meet Qyu, Your Spirit Guide (Literally) A self-taught mixologist with a knack for shaking, stirring, and storytelling, Qyu has been known to turn even the simplest pour into a performance. Passionate about the history and tales behind every cocktail, they love to meddle with flavors—crafting their own syrups, fat-washing spirits, and experimenting until each sip sings. When they’re not creating custom cocktails for private soirées or bustling events with the 50/Fifty Restaurant Group, you can find them mixing magic at the historic Colvin House—where the drinks are as colorful as the stories. Equal parts educator and entertainer, they’ll have you laughing between sips, learning tips you’ll actually use, and leaving with a drink in your hand and a little swagger in your step.
